Introduction	I began The Lemon Fair in 1972 and the Sewanee Angels floated into the store soon after. Children riding to school on the winding and twisting road down the mountain needed their angel to stay with them while they were away from Sewanee. Upon their arrival back on the mountain, they would hang their angel to rest, now relieved of duty. This was such a charming notion, I decided to provide fun and unusual angels in what was then the only store in Sewanee. Who would have guessed such whimsey would become a traditional part of Sewanee! THE LEMON FAIR is the Home of the Sewanee Angel!
