Introduction | Our Little House sits on the edge of a sprawling suburban landscape instead of the Big Woods of Wisconsin. Though the setting differs, I've assumed the notion that my own daily aspirations are not so different from those of my girlhood heroine. As a wife and mother of three, tales of home and hearth resonate with me the same way a good adventure does. There, thanks. |
Interests | Pretty much everything described in Jane Brocket's "Gentle Arts, " plus horses (wish I could have my own), nordic skiing, eating sweets from my favorite chocolatier and neglecting the housework. |
Favorite Movies | All time faves: Edward Scissorhands, Blade Runner, The Shining. Recent faves: Coraline, Burton's Alice in Wonderland |
Favorite Music | I'm listening to Zooey Deschanel at the moment. |
Favorite Books | All time fave: Hemmingway, The Old Man and the Sea for it's brilliant economy of words. Most recent faves: The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery, The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman |
When your science teacher smashed a frozen rose with a hammer, did you warm the petals to bring them back to life?
No. I just rolled my eyes and wondered aloud why they never taught anything in school I could use in the 'real world.'
