| Introduction | My credo: "Life is an adventure." I've had more unexpected twists and turns, blessings and joys than I ever could imagine. God has been good to me. I have a long-term and happy marriage to a true soul-mate, a kind and true-hearted daughter and two wonderfully wild weebles (aka The Grandgirls). A restless and creative soul, I'm always looking for something new or different to do, experience or create. |
| Interests | Artist's Statement: As a painter, I use nature as my starting-point. Knowing God as the ultimate creator, I don’t seek to replicate what I see in nature but to respond to it emotionally. I try to paint the joy and the wonder and the excitement I see in creation. I refer to the landscapes that I paint as “interpreted landscapes.” I frequently begin with my own photographic images. But I change the color palette or the images themselves, sometimes combining more than one image. I often paint rock formations and mountains because they represent strength, protection, solidity and timelessness. I use painting as a form of worship, an expression of awe and a way of giving thanks. |
