| Introduction | I paint ornamental designs on residential surfaces such as ceilings, doors, and furniture for private homeowners. I am lucky enough to get to travel a lot and see tons of historic painted ornamentation which inspires my own ornamental work. I also paint abstract pieces on canvases. I am inspired by Bauhaus and Eames colors and the works of Adolph Gottlieb, Paul Klee, and Mary Blair. I also love rusty painted surfaces, blank billboards that have bits of signage still attached, erased chalkboards, Paris, Southern California, mid-century and 1960's graphics, weathered surfaces, chipping paint, containers full of colored pencils, Disneyland, and I really love the color orange. |
