| Introduction | I'm a Journalism student at the U of Oregon. As my first year comes to a close, I harbor few regrets as I've realized my true calling in life. It lies in my passion for writing and travel. I hope to work for a travel magazine, so I could do this for a living. I mean, what better life is there than being paid to travel and write? I guess food taster is also up there, as is Maxim photographer. But let's be realistic, OK? I am a book enthusiast. I love everything from the classics to contemporary fiction. Thompson is a personal hero of mine. As are Horatio Alger and Bukowski. I like people who tell stories, mostly ones who disregard authority. I like people who take chances and succeed. I like better people who take chances, fail, and keep trying. I like to travel. Traveling is able to weaken the provincial mind and strengthen the tolerant one. By traveling, we see not only the world's insanity but ours as well. If you’re a good person you'll like this blog. It's filled with the human experiences of a 17 year-old high school graduate who's unsure about his future, and his twenty-something sister who's just along for the ride.
