Introduction	I am an artist who has recently discovered the joys of using oil bars! After years of illustrating, I love the freedom and sense of playfulness that the oil bars bring to my work. Illustrating five children's books required detailed and scientifically exact illustrations- for this I used watercolor and colored pencils to achieve the detail required. Prior to working on children's books, I was a freelance illustrator who longed to 'just paint' and now I am excited to join the community of daily painters! Most of my days are spent painting in my home studio, on an island, near Seattle, accompanied by my faithful 4 legged critics.( a black and chocolate lab) I look forward to hearing from other painters.
