| Introduction | I'm a full-time carer for my disabled husband who has Parkinson's disease, Emphysema, and a number of other conditions. I used to paint as a hobby, but can no longer do that because the paint fumes affect my husband's breathing. Five years ago, I began to look around for another hobby that wouldn't affect my husband's health, would nurture my creative spirit, and wouldn't cost a fortune to set up. It was then that I decided to make jewellery. Since then, I have experimented with various styles of jewellery, including wire-wrapped, Egyptian coils...anything, in fact, which was difficult or complicated enough to provide me with a challenge. |
