| Introduction | Oftentimes whilst on vacation, but more often when gathering my thoughts on return flights, bright ideas, notions and ambitions dance around my mind. My recent trip to Austin, TX was no different. My love for music, sheer enjoyment of live performances, diversity of listening and reasonably good eye/ear for solid tunes are indisputable (I think). Oh, and I am brutally honest and considerably candid too. It's an understatement to say that there are a lot of music blogs out there, but good ones, I suggest you can count on the fingers of one hand. Why not me? I write decent prose (despite failing English higher grade 3 times in my teens), have a real enthusiasm for music and love spreading the word and seeking the views of others on what I consider to be good sounds. This blog may serve as a self preserving file of music and gigs that I have attended, it may replace the need for me to email various friends on musical tastes or it may become something a wee bit more. Either way. I am acting on this notion and I am rolling with this one. Welcome to SCOAUSTIN (I'm Scottish and the foundation of this is Austin...makes perfect sense y'all). |
