After Piets untimely death in May of 2005 the International Breeding Station acquired Piets entire collection-over 250 birds. Piet Lazerom had the purest and finest collection of Jan Aardens in the world. This is well known worldwide among pigeon fanciers. This fact is testified to by the scores of fanciers around the world that can trace their fame to his birds. Many have failed to reveal the success of his birds in their loft and from this the Lazeroms became known as the "Ghost Loft".
