Wulf Rehder

About me

Gender Male
Introduction Wulf Rehder studied classical languages for a few semesters, then got serious about physics and math and earned his Ph.D. Instead of making money, he took a stipend by the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes and spent a tumultuous year in Berkeley, after which he studied Japanese for 2 years in Bonn and Tokyo. Shortly after, he became an assistant professor at the TU in Berlin. Between 1981 and 1986 he was a professor of math in California, only to sell his academic soul to become a manager in Silicon Valley. It followed a 2-year stay in Pisa, Italy (research, learning Italian, playing tennis). Currently, after 32 years abroad, he is relearning German. **** Books by Wulf Rehder: „Der deutsche Professor – Handbuch für Studierende, Lehrer, Professoren und solche, die es werden wollen.“ (3.
