Introduction	I discovered writing in the fifth grade and wrote poetry, short stories, and puppet skits through school. I tried my hand at an epic fantasy adventure during my senior year, but it never got past the Dark Forest. Still, the wild imagination running through my head had to go somewhere. I kept writing. But this time I followed the advice of “write what you know.” As a native of Huntsville, Alabama, I grew up hearing stories of rocket ships and the river, the mills and Monte Sano. It tickled me that we have streets, businesses, and an apartment complex named after a famous cow. After discovering the joys and challenges of research, I sat down to write about Clara. And the rest is history... I live in Somerville with four dogs, two cats, two teenagers, and one husband. My life is full.
Interests	Reading, writing, stargazing, walking the dogs, target practice, Ireland, karate, talk radio, travel, and did I mention reading?
Favorite movies	The Princess Bride, Harvey, To Have and to Have Not, The Big Sleep, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Narnia movies, The Bourne movies, The Die Hard movies
Favorite music	a huge mixture that depends on my mood. Pandora.com is wonderful!
