| Introduction | We have been married for almost 7 years and have two beautiful daughters, Mary Anne, four years old and our newest addition, Sarah Gray, 12 months. John is a teacher and head boys basketball coach at Ridge View High School. He loves his job and can't imagine doing anything else. I am a full time stay at home mom. I began staying home when our oldest daughter was two years old. Previously, I was a speech-language pathologist. I loved my 'old' job, but adore my 'job' at home. Everyday brings something new. It never gets boring! We have recently decided to start running and are currently training together with my friend, Michelle Jowers, to run the Rock 'n' Roll Chicago Half Marathon on August 2, 2009. Michelle's 15 month old daughter, Kayla Reese was very recently diagnosed with Tetra X, a rare chromosome abnormality. We plan to use our running to raise money to start a foundation in Kayla Reese's name to fund more research and support others and their families who have received the same diagnosis. |
