| Introduction | Welcome to DRAGONS AND DRAGOONS. My name is Robert Burke. I started wargaming with 20mm Napoleonic miniatures over 20 years ago using Column, Line, and Square. I still have a couple of thousands of Jack Scruby figures in my collection. I am the co-author of THEY DIED FOR GLORY, a set of wargame rules for the Franco-Prussian War (and in my biased opinion, the best set of rules for the period). I spent over 35 years as a professional. One of my goals in retirement is to index some of my favorite wargaming rules and make them available to my fellow gamers. So far, I have indexed Tactica II and The Men Who Would Be Kings. I have been the “back issues” editor for The Heliograph and Savage & Soldier for over 25 years now. A few years ago, I branched out and became the US agent for The Hobilar and Freezywater Publications. I am also the US agent for The Foreign Correspondent. In addition to Napoleonics, I like to game almost any period from Ancients up through the early 20th century. I love doing historical research, writing scenarios, and I’m a mediocre painter on my good days. I’m blessed to have a wife who supports my hobby. |
