Introduction Ken Gerleve – The Plush Pink Prognosticator Ken Gerleve is a contradiction. He aspires to be one of those eccentric, arm-chair anthropologist types, all into secret societies, ancient cultures, and cheap mystery novels with paperback covers. At the same time, he loves late 70's/early 80's popular culture–the clothes, the music, the hairstyles! His illustration work—often turgid and darkly humorous—draws on the graphic symbolism of 16th,-19th Century engravings, paintings and domestic arts, distilled through a post-modernist filter. His interests also include felt puppets, synthesizers, Freemasons and Ouija boards. He is currently writing and illustrating a serialised Gothic Mystery novel, and his illustration work has featured in previous issues of Pistil Magazine. During the rest of his free-time, he talks about making music for the new wave band 'Osiris Machine,' the best band you've never yet heard.
