| Introduction | I have an interest in helping others. My passion comes from a past of not getting help when I needed it. I am a survivor of abuse and neglect. Growing up, I knew I'd one day go into a field where I could help kids like me. I wanted to be a superhero. I thought a life in social work would be the answer. Well, I grew up and started to realize that the system is full of holes. Of course I decided not to do that. I started to think there were no real answers or justice at a time when I didn't want anyone to feel like there were no answers. Now I'm writing for those who are falling through the cracks. I want you to know there is hope. |
