| Introduction | Welcome from the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I'm a collector of ancient coins of the Roman Empire, with a collecting interest in Gordian III (238 AD - 244 AD)and Roman Provincial coinage. I started off in this hobby just buying and cleaning coins I saw on eBay and once I cleaned and attributed that first coin, I never stopped. First the coins fascinated me, then the history behind the coins. Along the way, I cleaned a few coins with Greek lettering on them and from my misguided college days at Oregon State University, I recognized the letters. Many of those early coins were provincial coins of Gordian III, fueling an interest in an emperor I had never heard of. Hence, the two major parts to my collection. |
