| Introduction | The one thing people usually find out about me within minutes of our meeting is that I am from Miami. As in Florida. As in hot, humid, mosquitoey, flat, sunny, Cuban, beachy, boaty, glamorous Miami. The next thing people learn about me is that I miss it everyday. I now live in the DC area, barely tolerating nine months of rainy sweater weather, and have a wonderful happy life. I could not have mapped this journey with a crystal ball- I just have no idea how the chain of events that occurred got me here. But I'm glad they did. I am a disorganized mother of three, a lucky wife of a rugged mountain man, and an owner of a small business. I'm a runner (weather permitting, ack!), the imaginary mistress of a petite, bald country music superstar, and have a severe coffee addiction. I am blessed by God for the friends and families surrounding me (albeit from afar). I have a bad habit of laughing at inappropriate times, particularly when goofy, leggy children trip over themselves and look around for someone else to blame. And when they want a home cooked dinner? Now that is just hilarious! |
