| Favorite movies | Nicole is a franophile and thinks all French films are tres magnifique. Some favorites include Betty Blue, Vivre sa vie and anything by Agnes Varda. Non-French favorites include Man on wire, Diary of a Lost Girl, and anything by Werner Herzog. Bryan and Nicole are admitted film snobs. Some of our favorite family films include Japanese anime, such as My Neighbor Totoro and a television series titled Mushishi. |
| Favorite music | Nicole loves Miles Davis, David Bowie and Leonard Cohen. Bryan agrees with two of those three choices. The entire family grooves on calypso and African music. |
| Favorite books | Nicole recently read Keith Richard's autobiography, Life. Mostly she reads books about yogic philosophy, Ayurveda, etc. Bryan reads about baking and cheesemaking and has an impressive photography book collection. Lyla and Phoebe read like there's no tomorrow. Phoebe and Nicole are currently reading Farmer Boy. Jonah loves Maurice Sendak's Pierre. |
