IntroductionI became involved with web design and maritime links in 2004 after I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. I have always love writing and computers- so this was a natural progression. The Maritime Links website came out of my need to stay 'linked' to the industry since I am no longer able to sail. The Coast Guard regulations on medication will not allow me to sail on my license- but for me- getting involved in the other aspects of the indsutry has been a lot of fun. I will continue to work on the blog and the website- It is constantly evolving into something more than what we originally intended. It will be interesting to see where this venture guides me.
