Introduction	I pretty much live on the American River. It is my sanction and sanity. It is a paradise in the midst of madness. I fish just about every day and try to learn something new each time I immerse myself in the river. I have sand between my toes, holes in my socks, callouses on my feet and many fish war wounds on my hands. I like to write about my fishing adventures. It helps me process and gives me a place to keep track of what I'm doing daily and year to year.
