Introduction	I pretty much live on the American River. It is my sanction and sanity. It is a paradise in the midst of madness. I fish just about every day and try to learn something new each time I immerse myself in the river. I have sand between my toes, holes in my socks, callouses on my feet and many fish war wounds on my hands. I like to write about my fishing adventures. It helps me process and gives me a place to keep track of what I'm doing daily and year to year.

Why, in my nearly new Dodge Ram truck... does the power steering fluid run dry with no warning save that very terrible spongy rattling noise in the steering column when I try to turn the wheel... Yet, a blatantly-bright flashing yellow indicator light beams from my instrument panel to tell me my windshield washer fluid is LOW when it's still 1/4 full? Priorities these daze... M
