Introduction Ph.D. from PRL, Ahmedabad, 1990 Presently heading the Central Instruments Laboratory as Principal Scientific Officer at the University of Hyderabad (Since 2009) He has held positions at: Associate Professor-I, Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), Gandhinagar (1992-2004), Research Associate, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (1994-96), Visiting Scientist, Swiss Federal Institute (EPFL, 2001-2), Switzerland Team leader, ISRO’s Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC: 2004-9), Trivandrum Adjunct Faculty, IIT Bhubaneswar, 2014 He joined ISRO’s most ambitious Chandrayaan-I project in 2004 and developed a quadrupole based mass spectrometer, CHACE, which worked successfully in the Moon Impact Probe mission.
