About me

Introduction	I'm a physicist and astronomer viewing education from many different angles: as a university professor, as a parent of children through sixth grade and a "scientist in residence" at their school, as an occasional trainer of teachers, and of course as a lifelong learner. I blog about my activities at their school to inform parents and provide a resource for other physical scientists doing K12 outreach. I also use this forum to look at my own research through beginners' eyes as a way of connecting with the citizens who funded it.
