| Introduction | Three friends came together to create the first Rockport Earth Day & Redfish Run in 2013. (Pictured, L to R) Christy of RawYall.com, Kimmi of Coastal Bend Health Foods, and Becky of Runner Girl Nutrition. The friends -- all green-minded, fitness-focused entrepreneurs -- felt it was time for their little slice of paradise on the Texas Coast to celebrate its bounty of beauty. They agree that caring for Earth starts with caring for oneself. Education, however, is key to making healthy choices that benefit all. In its first year, the Redfish Run raised $500 for ongoing beautification efforts in Rockport's historic downtown district. These ladies expect the proceeds, and the event, to grow and bloom more profusely each year. |
