| Introduction | I'm Marvin Ferguson, average kid on the block, born in Chicago, and never had a silver spoon in my mouth. I played baseball with friends in blue jeans with a tattered baseball and splintered bat on corner lots. Nothing fancy. "Corner Lots Baseball" shares baseball trivia that relates to real life situations. Besides reading a good book or the Bible I learned all the nuts and bolts about baseball while coaching a Little League baseball team. Even though I brag about being the average kid on the block and a graduate from the college of hard knocks, I hold a B.A. degree in Business Administration from North Park University and a Graduate Certificate in Biblical Studies from Moody Theological Seminary along with enhancing my writing skills at a Write-To-Publish conference at Wheaton College. I earned my education the hard way. |
| Interests | I am a die hard baseball fan, love to read, and write. My new found interest in religion is taking my life into a different direction which includes reading the Bible and writing about practical helps to every day living. |
| Favorite movies | The Natural, Sandlot, Ground Hog Day, and Mary Poppins (Walt Disney Production). |
| Favorite music | My favorites are a variety of songs from Johnny Cash, and gospel music from Bill and Gloria Gaither Homecoming Series. |
| Favorite books | Calico Joe by John Grisham, The Power Of A Whisper by Bill Hybells, and Write-A-Thon: write your book in 26 days(and live to tell about it) by Rochelle Melander. |
