IntroductionI'm your basic geek the Lord has had mercy on. I love my family and friends. I miss my dog and cat.
InterestsFamily, friends, books, music, movies, scrapbooking and history.
Favorite moviesJust about anything with Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford and Hugh Jackman. I like most of Johnny Depp's movies and most of Sandra Bullock's movies. I love the Disney classics and kiddie movies like Finding Nemo and so on. I love classics like Gone With the Wind, Casablanca, Wizard of Oz, etc. I like most of the musicals. There isn't a category for T.V., but some of my favorite shows are (or were if no longer in production): The Closer, Law and Order in its various forms (original, Criminal Intent, SVU), Emergency!, Adam-12, ER, Mork and Mindy, Happy Days, Quantum Leap (Scott Bakula was and still is pretty fine), Murder She Wrote and Magnum PI.
Favorite musicI love all sorts of music, and I love musical theater, but I'm mostly an 80s rocker. Some of my favorite bands/artists are: Journey, Styx, Chicago, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Petra, Sarah Brightman, Michael Crawford, Celtic Women, Celtic Thunder, The Motels, The Pretenders.
Favorite booksOh, the wonderful world of books. I love to read and have read just about everything I can get my hands on since I was old enough to do so. I loved Dr. Seuss as a kid (actually still do) and moved on to Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden as I got older. Today, many moons later, some of my favorite authors are: Ted Dekker (cannot read his books fast enough), Tess Gerritsen (ditto, except for the slight change in pronoun to her), Tosca Lee (I read Demon and I've been hooked since. She's an incredible writer), Amanda Stevens (the lady has a genuine love and understanding of Southern folklore and her stories are delightfully eerie), C.S. Lewis (he is someone I wish I'd had the chance to meet), Max Lucado, Frank Peretti, Laura Ingalls Wilder. That's not a complete list by any means.
