Which is more important to you and why: flexibility or expandability?

Flexibilty - Life is a river, ever changing. I don't need to occupy more space within the universe and I don't need to be known far and wide; I want to be respected by my dog, loved by my family, and admired by my co-workers. I want the flexibilty to adapt combined with a sense of adventure to explore.
