| Introduction | To help support my bad habit of spending, I teach knitting classes at Spirit Work on Monroe Avenue in Brighton, a suburb of Rochester, NY. My goal is to help knitters make successful projects that they will be proud to own. In class we explore some of the various ways in which to create handknit fabric. There is always more than just one way to make something. One technique or stitch pattern may work better for one project than another, depending on what is being made and what yarns are being used. Through discussion of options and demonstration of techniques, ways of how to create handknit fabric and garments that knitters will be proud to wear, are shared. A variety of techniques and tips are offered so that students can decide what is most useful for them. |
