| Introduction | I graduated from Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. I did an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Va from 1986-1987. Then I went to Columbus, Ohio to start my residency in Neurology at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. I received my Masters Degree at OSU and completed my residency training at Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, MD. In 1992 I returned to Michigan with my husband, Peter. I worked with two referral hospitals here in Michigan and performed relief work with many of the Detroit area emergency facilities. During that time Peter and I worked at securing financing for what is now Veterinary Care Specialists. We have worked very hard over the past 11 years to maintain and grow the hospital. We have learned much over that time and we have made some mistakes, but we are entering an exciting new chapter and I think we are on the verge of many good things. Peter and I have two children, 2 dogs, three cats, sugar gliders and a turtle that live with us at Toad Hollow, our home. |
