| Introduction | Thank you for taking the time to read my blog! My name is Cayt O'Neal, and I live in the suburbs of Chicago with my amazing husband Ryan and the best dog ever, Wilco, our Maltese-Poodle. I have wanted to be a writer since I was in high school, and so many years later, I am really excited to finally begin to share my work! I hope to make this blog a place where you can find encouragement and motivation for your own creative journey, as well as feel very understood along the way, when the going can get really tough, too. My blog's name, "Lumiere Pure," comes from my full given name, Catherine Eileen. I was named after two of my great-grandmas, and I have known ever since I can remember that my name means "pure light." This namesake has always meant a lot to me, and I feel like it is my personal calling to seek 'pure light' all throughout my life and my writing. This is what I love about writing: the chance to expose something small, that might only be a flicker to anyone else, and bring it into focus for its gift of pure light. |
