| Introduction | I started out in the business world right out of high school. Married in 1961, divorced in 1966; married again in 1967 to a wonderful man, Harvey E. Greenawalt. Widowed in 1988. During this time I owned my own needlework business for seven years, spent a few years in an Insurance Adjusters office, and at 45 years of age, I returned to school and earned my Bachlors Degree in General Studies, my Masters of Art Degree in Education and taught Kindergarten in Yuma, Arizona. A widow for 11 years, I retired from teaching and remarried (Warren T. Smith) in 2000. I moved from Arizona to Georgia. Warren (the father of three sons) and I have three adorable and lively grandchildren, Jessica, age 9; Catherine, age 7; and James, age 6. Currently I am relearning my quilting skills. I make baby blankets for Project Linus. It gives me such a thrill to create something from scraps of fabric and them make them into a quilt stitched with love for the little ones. |
