| Introduction | An indie rock music quest featuring an acoustic guitar monster & half alien drum set battling the voices of their dreams. In Chicago, independent rock bands can be found on almost any corner or in any alley. But it’s unlikely you’ll find a rock duo in which an innocent acoustic guitar sometimes sounds like a music monster, and a set of drums is an alien hybrid of electronic/acoustic sounds. The two members bounce vocals off each other like a ball in a tennis match. Paul Taneja and Ivan Sosa formed the songwriting team Pinto & the Bean in January of 2010. Prior to moving to Chicago in search of a new rock scene, Ivan was the leader of a successful touring band whose songs reached the top of the radio charts. Paul’s songs have been placed on various TV shows such as L.A. Ink, The Real World, and Road Rules. Paul & Ivan also worked together in the Chicago band Incredible Shrinking Boy since 2008, but when the duo formed their new project in 2010, they knew they had to throw away their past and start from the beginning. They have been working hard to complete their first 12 songs of pure Chicago rock. The boys plan to hit the Chicago music scene later this year. |
