| Introduction | I am a wife and a mother, as well as a daughter, sister, friend, & neighbor. I have lived most of my life in the Western United States, but I have also lived on the East coast and in South America. I have attended both public and private schools. I am a high school drop out that then went on to obtain a high school diploma and graduate with a BS in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. I have worked as a babysitter, janitor, assessment administrator, translator/interpreter, administrative assistant, medical receptionist, classroom-aide, & teacher. I now stay home full-time to be with my children. I am who I am and believe what I believe because of everything that I have seen, heard, learned, and experienced in my lifetime. |
| Interests | I love to cook and have what some people (namely my husband) call an unhealthy obsession with cookbooks. I cannot seem to own enough of them. I read them from cover to cover like one would a novel. For years now, cookbooks are my souvenir of choice when traveling and it's been fun to have such a rich cultural memento of all the places I've been. |

| Favorite books | Anna Karenina, Man's Search for Meaning, Jane Eyre, Black Like Me, Esperanza Rising, The Diary of Anne Frank, the Divergent trilogy, The Hunger Games trilogy, Ender's Game and all of its sequels and spin-offs, and a bunch more. |
