Location Ancient Lakes Basin
Introduction The June Sucker is an endangered fish endemic to Utah Lake, which lies at the heart of one of the three main watershed basins of the Great Salt Lake. June Sucker Nation is the name given to the basin encompassing the rain that feeds the Provo, and Spanish Fork rivers, their tributaries, Utah Lake, and the Jordan River and its tributaries which carry their water into the Great Salt Lake. This name was chosen because the June Sucker is the indicator species for the health of our watershed, when we restore their population to a healthy state, we know that our bioregion is on the path to regeneration and abundance.
