Introduction	Luan Akin has been a familiar name and face around Colorado for decades. She was a fixture on CBS4 News in Denver, reporting from Copter4. That work earned her three Emmy Awards and induction into the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences “Silver Circle,” for twenty-five years of “outstanding contributions to the broadcast community.“ During her later years in television, Luan also trained and volunteered as a Master Gardener. With her combined skills, Luan produced a weekly series of popular television segments called “Gardening Together.” After thirty years, Luan has left television news and joined the team at Tagawa Gardens. Luan is now Tagawa’s Garden Outreach Ambassador. She specializes in bringing the latest in gardening information, techniques and trends to experienced gardeners and novices alike. As Tagawa’s Garden Outreach Ambassador, Luan is available as a guest speaker for a wide variety of clubs, service organizations or school groups.
