| Interests | Manifesting and sharing the intensity that hides in shadowy places. Piercing the veil, talking to plants and learning to open my ears and let their words trickle in. Digging in the soil, feeling mud squish between my toes, getting my hands dirty, letting the sun touch my skin, feeling moonlight in the midnight hours. Bones, blood, water, compost, seeds... decaying leaves. |
| Favorite movies | Andrei Tarkovsky is amazing: Nostalghia, Stalker & Solaris are probably my three favorite films of all time. Konstantin Lopushansky is also wonderful--The Ugly Swans & Visitor of a Museum. Ingmar Bergman as well--anything he's made, I've loved. |
| Favorite music | A million different things, but lately Coil, Current 93, Pan Sonic, PJ Harvey, Flower Travellin Band, Swans, Robert Johnson... |
| Favorite books | Brian Evenson, Samantha Hunt--The Invention of Everything Else & The Seas: "I've been forgotten here. Left alone talking to lightning storms, studying the mysterious patterns the dust of dead people makes as it floats through the last light of day." Carole Maso: Aureole, Mark Danielewksi: House of Leaves, DH Lawrence: Sons & Lovers, The William Vollman: The Royal Family, Eileen Myles: Cool for You, and a million other things. Poetry is good too. |
The squish of mud between your toes; how would you live your life as a frog?
ecstatically--leaping many lily pads and eating many flies.
