Introduction was born on the Northside of Chicago in 1969. Her parents decided to move to North Central Arkansas when she was only nine years old. Growing up with a variety of other "Northerners," Helen never felt like she belonged outside of her home in the Ozark Mountains. After drifting from awful job to awful job, and lousy relationship to lousy relationship, she realized at the age of 28 she could simply move back to Illinois, so she did so. Things have improved for her greatly.
