| Introduction | My name is Latanya Stiner, I'm Originally from South-America Suriname. I along with 5 other siblings immigrated to the US on January 2005. Since I've been here, I have been pursuing a higher education, while facing many obstacles. The hardest part of the entire journey I would have to say is staying grounded and keeping my believes, values and cultures. It’s hard living in a society that forces you to change who you are, to be accepted, to feel like you belong here. But as I always say, and as you will notice...I'm strong as a Rock!
