| Introduction | Michael and I met during our first year of medical school. He was the handsome, outgoing red head who agreed to be my study partner. I would like to think of myself as the quiet and cute brunette who knocked him off his feet (a la "love at first sight"). We spent most of our time together that first year. Mostly studying together, but little by little we added in dinner, movies, exercising, etc until we were more or less inseparable. Michael proposed 1 year from the day we met and we were married 4 months later on Thanksgiving weekend. We moved to Philadelphia to complete our third and fourth year clinical clerkships. We now are living in Southern New Jersey as we finish our medical residencies in Internal Medicine. We are both in our second year, with only one to go! On July 14 we welcomed our beautiful baby girl into the world. We continue to try to balance family, spirituality and work in an effort to get the most out of this life. |
