| Introduction | Basic information - I am a 38 years old female. I have been Ill since age 16. I managed 1 (struggling) year at university but have been Bedbound since since 1998 and tube fed since 2002. Far too long! I am now at a quite critical time in my life! I use the blogger name embers to show I have almost been "extinguished" by this disease. I used to envision that I could be restoked into a fire but now I fear I may go out just waiting and waiting as we are for treatments. Resisting the neglect and wall of apathy we face whilst fighting for fair treatment is my focus now. I'm acutely aware of how the long-term severe have been whitewashed out of the picture and this blog, if nothing else, is a statement that I exist and severe M.E exists neglected in a wealthy, first world country. |
