Favorite Movies I love the old b&w 40's and 50's song and dance movies; anything with synchronized choreography is a hoot :-) I like contemporary movies too, silly sappy ones like Michael, Harold and Maude, girl flicks like Breakfast at Tiffany's, Moulin Rouge, Chicago (hmm, contemporary song and dance) and British period dramas like Sense and Sensibility, Shakespeare in Love (both of these fall in the date flicks category too, sorry). I like the quirky international films too: Amelie, Irish soul flix: The Commitments (and the music!), Waking Ned Divine.
Favorite Music classical, old rock, doo wop, and some of what my daughter and son like
Favorite Books Pearl S. Buck, Jane Smiley, anything with great characters and historical authenticity, including Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Sure fantasy can be authentic if written well. Reading the Robert Jordan Wheel of Time series, suggested to me by my son and it's fun, kind of a Lord of the Rings type series with 11 books so far! Last non-fiction book read: The World is Flat - a must read for all techies.

You laughed so hard you can't catch your breath. Stick out your tongue and show us what's funny:

Any time I'm with my sister, one of us manages to get the other going and it usually isn't funny to anyone but us. Often one or both of us are crying we're laughing so hard and everyone else is rolling their eyes going, "what the..?" or "oh, god, there they go again" (our kids).
