| Introduction | Billy Bump was a childhood nickname because I was prone to falling down steps and injuring myself in other unflattering ways. Most of my adulthood injuries seem to be of the emotional nature. I'm a former newspaper editor of 21 years who has worked since 1990 for a substance abuse prevention and treatment agency. I've been a recovering alcoholic since April 1981. My life partner of 24 years, Phil, is a paraplegic who has endured many additional health challenges. I'll use this blog to offer my thoughts on recovery, spirituality, civil unions and other heavy and not-so-heavy topics. Welcome to the world of Billy Bump. |
