| Introduction | I was born on the beautiful island of Sri Lanka. The harmony, camaraderie, security of innocence, playful days and simplicity of pastoral life that nourished me in my home village and a great set of parents who set me free is an integral part of my personality. I attended Catholic schools and in my late teen years studied Accounting at Aquinas University. When I turned 18 I started in Telco industry as an apprentice. I jumped a leap of faith when I was 21, leaving Sri Lanka indefinitely for work in booming Dubai. While there I switched careers from Telecomms to Banking; consequently to FinTech. In the early 90’s I left Dubai with my young family; migrated to Australia and settled well in this land of opportunity. I am a proud father to four young adults and a grandfather of two small children who are thriving in their dreams in Australia. I continue my career in Sydney in Digital technology and am in a fulfilling job with a great life balance. In my spare time, I am a photographer, a dreamer; an occasional artist and a budding writer. From a small Sri Lankan village to Sydney, the pulse of Australian culture, this is my story. |
