Introduction	My practice predominantly consists of plein air painting, that is, painting outside with acrylic paint on canvas and an easel. Depending on the size of canvas, paintings are completed in a matter of hours or over several days. Many of my paintings now include more than one canvas, a term I have phrased a multi panel painting. The rationale behind the multi panel painting is to create an experience of being in the landscape, rather than merely looking at it. The rules of perspective come in to play here, so that features closer to the viewer will appear larger in one canvas than objects on a separate canvas, which will be at a distance on the horizon.
Interests	Being physically active, if that is an interest. Swimming in sea water, weather permitting. Watching my daughter sail, never tire of that. And painting, painting, painting.

Favorite Books	Usually the one I am reading right now, my visual diary, my written diary - does that sound a bit Elle MacPherson? The Time Travellers Wife, Tim Winton, birds field guide, map books and the dictionary.
