| Introduction | HOWELL TRUTH: The idea for TRUTH started early in the summer months but our first meeting was late October. Our mission is basically to educate ourselves on the budget and the budget process and to inform the community about what we are learning and to partner with the Board (and anyone else, like the union, who wants to work together) toward fiscal responsibility and budget cuts that do not directly impact the children. Our mission is not to save schools or particular schools, per se, but to make sure the Board is considering all options and reporting back to the community on those options. Our group operates as a group without a specific "leadership". This is a community-wide group with reps from schools other than just Ardena and Southard and we are seeking more involvement from other schools since this is a community-wide issue. |
