About me

Introduction	I have been involved with photography for over two decades and decided to go professional with support and encouragement from family and friends. I previously focused on wildlife, nature and landscapes. I recently began photographing children and infants. Let me be honest - changing subject matter certainly requires a different skill set! LOL Photography is truly my passion. As a child I was fascinated with old cameras. My first 35mm experience was in 1984 with a Minolta x370. I switched to a digital SLR when Canon came out with their digital Rebel series and now own the new Canon Xsi. Many people believe that film is the pure form of photography and that digital isn’t real photography. I see digital as a blessing. I don't have to spend money developing shots that end up in the trash. I download everything and hit the delete key for shots that don't work. I use filters on lenses, shoot in manual, use natural light, etc., like I did when I shot with film. Editing shots often takes that almost perfect shot to the next level. It’s great for special effects. I believe it adds to my creative flexibility as an artist and allows me to offer additional variety to my clients.
