Introduction I've long had a fascination with spatial relations, from my sandbox days building roads & villages, graduating to woodland groves where I created rooms from rocks, twigs, pine needles. Oddly enough, I ended up studying Civil Engineering, which did give me an excellent background for structures. Seven years later, I designed & built a passive solar octagon w/ a 5 sided roof on my 13 acres in Guilford. I still live there, still love it. A couple years later, I decided to pursue Landscape Architecture/Regional Planning, lots of history, theory, studio, model making. After graduating, I went into business for myself as a landscape designer/builder for about 20 years, a profession I took great pride in. Until 2012, I worked as a Realtor in Vermont. Through this work, I was fortunate to see so many different houses & styles, some kept to historic integrity, some sadly disfigured by tasteless and shoddy modifications. It was a wonderful opportunity to exercise my on-the-spot design skills as I visualized the real potential. Now, I am onto something new...an amalgamation of all my passions, working for myself while working with others, sharing ideas and ideals.
Interests designing structures and gardens with the surrounding landscape and environment in mind; writing; working in the woods; the Southwest; photography; animals (dogs, cats, cows, horses); salsa dancing (once my knee gets fixed!); growing and cooking food
