| Introduction | theCASTLE: "Institutional housing providers have consistently failed to meet the needs of 'marginal' users and as a part of the University of Tasmania School of Architecture's work in Sustainability we believe that we have a responsibility to work with the most disadvantaged in our community". The CASTLE project aims to provide a set of micro-housing solutions for clients who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or otherwise excluded from the community. The vision of versions of the CASTLE are that they: will need to be transportable, perhaps demountable, have flexible servicing options and be small, perhaps of the order of a small caravan. |
| Interests | theCASTLE: We need to sleep in secure places We need to enjoy the sunshine We need to be protected from the cold winds We need sanctuary We need a harbour for our family And we need both communality and privacy Very simple things. Behind today's great mask of technology and mindless building Things havent changed very much. Richard Leplastrier |
