| Introduction | Born in Texas ... grew up in North Carolina ... lived from coast to coast ... spent a year in the land "down under" ... Australia. Wrote a newspaper column for three years in Austin, Tx. Non-fiction is my forte ... with a wee bit of poetry thrown down between the lines. I view things from a perspective that leans on the side of compassion. I like to study people when they are not looking. Read expressions and body language. I like to ask questions. I am a Boomer. I believe that life is good ... maybe not at first glance ... but after I, personally, tweaked my world view, I came to realize that that life is very good. I believe that we should not take life for granted ... and we should take advantage of every second chance to do it right. I once was lost, but now am found; was blind, but now I see ... But ... I still cannot see why my Terry had to die so suddenly, without a good-bye, on August 31, 2012 ... I cannot see that. I cannot understand. But still, I can find joy. |
