| Introduction | Born in Brooklyn, NY. I was adopted at birth, and consequently raised as a puertorrican. Although I cannot erase the heavy latin influence in my life, I'm proud to say I am African-American. I am inspired daily by the strength of my ancestors, and I walk the hard walk with my brothers today. See being black is not just an attitude or the jive you can spit, you're just born into it, weather you understand it or not, weather you like it or not. I have four beautifull daughters, product of a very early marriage in my life and my youngest is from my new marriage. I'm a sociologist and psychologist at heart. I earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida, and currently attending graduate school to earn a Masters in Mental Health. This blog is a means for me to keep my thoughts where they need to be, to keep my eyes on the prize and talk about the things that let me know I have blood running through my veins, my passions, my convictions, my revolution!! |
