Introduction	Growing up, politics was usually not the dinner conversation. I do not blame my parents for not having a political impact on me it, however it is a fact I must deal with now. I'm now 22 and still not a registered voter. It's not because I don't want to be involved, I do. The reason I'm not registered is also the reason to why I am taking this class. I am in the class because I simply want to strengthen my knowledge on US Government. The reason I don't vote, is because I feel I lack the knowledge to make an informative decision. I do not believe that casting my vote and knowing any information on the issues being discussed, the people running, or the "teams" they represent is a true vote. I want to be proud and confident in the choice I make, therefore I must be educated first. Unfortunately, with the information I've shared with you so far I'm sure you can assume that I do not have any political ideology, influences, or experience but as the semester uncovers politics for me I'm sure you'll see a transformation, after all, from this class I want to gain as much knowledge as possible so that I can create a voice of my own in this political world.
